After gutting the trailer a mobile sandblaster paid a visit to remove paint on bulkhead[s] and clean frame, axle etc.
bare walls and frame after sandblast: ready for repairs to begin
frame repair begins: removal of damaged frame-members
fabricated a pair of new outriggers in brake press and also replaced crossmembers + added additional strengthening. entire frame and suspension sealed with rust inhibitive enamel.
wheelwells re-worked with galvanized sheet to prevent any future water penetration
body was then lifted and new marine-grade ply subfloor installed. then lowered and secured to frame and subfloor
new floor and the lower course of aluminum sheet removed.next, new wiring and electrics
trailer has now been completely re-wired. The diamond-plate aluminum housing made in shop. electrical supply: 110v 4 breakers + Intellipower 9100 converter ready to install module minus battery housing
Intellipower 9100 + charge wizard supplies 12v power
New floor: 19' of marmoleum. Time to begin the cabinetry and paint the upper walls and apply leather to lower portions

design studio Great exterior, although inside the interior had sustained considerable damage over the years and was mostly missing. The frame was also badly rusted in two places.The interior was gutted, floor removed and repairs begun.
His desire is to convert the trailer into a well appointed sleeping space
to be used as a weekend retreat for his family.
