Flying Cloud asit sat when we picked it up. There were a bunch of loose pieces in the barn behind

Great dayfor a road trip. About a 3 hr tow to the shop

Back at the studio. Small crease in front is only signifigantmark on trailer. Someone put an Airstream decal over it. Maybe it was a bandage

The interiorneeded a much larger bandaid [view from rear]

All theappliances are in great  conditon. It's the floor that's rotten in two areas. Cabinets also are alright. The frontdinette and rear sleeping area are both missing.

Main framemembers are alright, but many of the crossmembers need replacement.  [front]

rear view

heater and an almost full-sized fridge

Inside is in great condition. Unknown if theappliance functions

As trashedout as it looks, the toilet is in great condtion, although I was afraid to liftthe lid and meet a possum

All the originallights are present and look new

First and only year for this dome light

wanted tosee how much effort it took to polish before it came into the studio

1958Flying Cloud [22']

This classic FlyingCloud arrived 11/3  This particular unit was made in the CA plant.  Lengthto end of tongue 22'. Interior has 19' of usable space. Width: 7'  It hastapered wheel-wells and recessed Bargman #9 brake lights. The floor and frameof the trailer is a mess in the front 5' and about 2' in the rear. About thesame amount of repairs that the '56 Caravanner required. The Flying Cloud willhave the interior removed and then the floor removed exposing the frame for removaland replacement of rusted crossmembers and outriggers. Aside from the poor conditionof the floor there are three pairs of wonderful '50s sconces + some singles, nice turquoise stove, fridge and porcelain toilet . Cabinets are fairly goodwith no water damage, Original zolotone is about 60% covered with white latex. The exterior is dent -free and in very good shape for it's age. Good pan andbumper is perfect. I did notice that a couple of roof panels have been replacedand pop rivets were used in the place of domed rivets. The roof vents are intact  andworking but the skylight has had some kind of modification. Not sure yet whatthe heck was changed. I really like this trailer inspite of the amount of workthat it will require. Has a good floor plan. It's a cheery trailer and I'm anxiousto begin. This will be a really nice trailer.
